I get daily emails asking about the protein I use so I thought I'd do an entry about it because... it ROCKS!
I use Max Protein in all my shakes, ice creams, and baking (though my recipes will work with ANY brand of Protein.)
I seriously credit a lot of my weight loss success to having a protein powder I love versus one I just tolerate. I was introduced to it at a GNC store (unfortunately not all carry it. It's a franchise store thing) 8 months after my surgery.
At 8 weeks post-op I had stopped having shakes because I was literally gagging and sometimes holding my nose to get them down (hadn't found Max yet.) I said screw it and vowed to eat chicken for breakfast if I had too.
At 8 months, I was stuck in the longest stall and everyone I talked to kept saying I needed more protein. People would tell me "Try my protein it's soooo good" so I would race out to the store to buy it. I'd mix up a shake and just know if so & so loved it this one will be "the one" well, ummm... it wasn't the one. In fact, some of the protein supplements people said were sooooo yummy I thought tasted like a monkey's ass. Not that I have experience tasting monkey ass but I can imagine.
BTW my Dad was a zookeeper and I do know how a monkey's ass smells so I really CAN imagine.
Back to the stall from hell...
I sat at -80 pounds FOREVER (well it seemed like forever.) I had stalled before (we all do) but this one was different. It was lonnnnnnng. I mean really lonnnnnnng. Did I mention it was long? So I bit the bullet because I was determined I was going to get to -100 and went in search of yet another protein powder in hopes of busting down the stall wall.
SCORE. MAX PROTEIN.
The girl at GNC mixed me a Chocolate shake sample in the store. OMG! It wasn't just good. It was awesome. I bought a tub. She sent me home with a baggy (sounds like a drug dealer) of Vanilla. I went back the next day and bought a tub of that. The next week on weigh-in day the scale moved. OK, I'm not saying the protein did it but hey it MOVED that is all that matters. I was sold. Oh and not only did it move but it moved -7 pounds and I had not seen a jump like that in a long time. I'm now -158 (give or take a pound or two each week) and I really do credit this protein as a big part of my success. I enjoy having the shakes and ice cream I make with this protein. I mean it. I really enjoy it. It keeps me full and satisfied and tastes great.
Life is too short to drink monkey's ass
Ha. I'm making that a bumper sticker.
The Nutritionals (click on picture to enlarge) and 411:
Comes in 2.2 lbs. (.99 kg) / 5.2 lbs (2.35 kg) size tubsFlavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry
New Flavors: Cookies & Cream and Chocolate Mint.
I mostly use Chocolate & Vanilla.
Here are my favorite shakes recipes.
This weekend I tried both of the new flavors as shakes. Both were great. The Chocolate Mint smells and tastes like an Andes candy. I'm thinking using it in my Fudgy Chocolate Balls, Mini Donuts or one of my 5 Minute Cakes would be killer at Christmas time. It was 101°F yesterday yeah that's not a typo... 101°F. It's still April right? We didn't suddenly skip ahead to August??? So to beat the heat I made a batch of Protein Ice Cream with the Cookies & Cream. Awesome.
1 cup Vanilla Soy Milk (or Regular Milk)
2 scoops of Cookies & Cream Flavored Protein Powder
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Vanilla Torani Syrup
Mix together milk, protein, and syrup. I used this gadget to mix it up. It makes it airy and lump free. If you don't have one just toss it in a blender on super high.
I know this protein is not cheap which is hard in these economic times but it tastes great and doesn't smell like you-know-what so I seriously don't complain much. I can't tell you how many tubs I gave away or threw away that I could not even raise to my nose. It's such a huge part of those first few weeks after surgery. Maybe treat yourself to a tub for those few weeks. Careful though. It's hard to ever have another protein after this one.
I was able to score 20% off for readers of the blog
Just click on this link and at checkout enter the coupon code: eggface2010 to receive 20% off your purchase.
Now one post-ops yummy treat may be another's monkey's ass I'm not promising anything just saying I haven't had anyone I turned on to this protein say they didn't love it.

Thank you SO much for the discount on this!! I just ordered some Chocolate :) I'm at 8 months right now and sitting at around 120 pounds lost and stalling...I have about 75 more to go. Hoping upping the protein will help!
I am with you! I hated, hated, hated those "monkey ass" protein drinks and Thanks to you - I was turned on to this one. I had to call the manufacturer and convince them that there wasn't a store near me that sells this stuff and so they shipped it to me directly! I LOVE this stuff!!! Thank you SO much for your trails and "monkey ass" protein tasting that lead you to this one. And now, 20% off? You ROCK!
I just ordered the vanilla! Thanks SO MUCH! I'm in a stall right now adn really need to push over it and i know upping the protein always helps but i HATE the shakes i have right now... ugh...
I ordered some strawberry. If I don't like it, I'll ship it to you :-)
Just wondering if this discount code would work in the store. Any idea? Thanks for the great info and recipes. I'll be having my surgery in three weeks and you have given me so much valuable information. I'm forever thankful!
Ok.. I think I have to take the plunge and invest in an ice cream maker. Which one would you recommend? Just me and my hubby at home, so huge quantities aren't an issue.
Thanks for all you do. I check your blog everyday!!!
Kelly
kelwolf100@yaho.com
What is it sweetened with? Stevia or aspartame, or sucralose? Thanks for a funny and truly informative blog. It would make a fantastic book!
Hope you guys love it as much as I do. I think you will ;)
Thank you for being my witness (can I get a witness LOL) Heather
The discount is only good direct from the company ordering online. Sorry.
It is sweetened with Acesulfame Potassium.
Kelly, I use the Cuisinart Ice 20 (no salt, just freeze cylinder overnight and 20 minutes later ice cream) click on the link that says ice cream maker in this post to the one I mostly use (everyday literally LOL use)
~Michelle
I love this protein too! I have it in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Haven't had it in a while and I've been sitting at the same weight for a few months now...suppose it's time to up my protein with these shakes! Really want to get this last 30 lbs off!
Shelly,
Thanks for the information. I gave up on protein supplements many months ago. Some days I get my protein, some days I don't. I just couldn't stomach any more monkey's ass! I may give this a try. Who knows? Maybe I'll have to get an ice cream maker . . .
Connie
This is the most outstanding protein powder on the market. I have used chocolate and I just ordered the vanilla--one day before I saw your 20% off!! I know I will get around to using the discount though. I have started ordering the 5 lb tubs since the 2 lbs goes so fast with all the shakes/ice cream I'm making.
Thanks for recommending this cause I know I never would have found it on my own.
I just ordered some vanilla and chocolate. Thanks for that nice discount. Never could find it in the GNC's in my area.
I love love LOVE this protein. I went into a GNC store just to buy blender bottles and they had samples out. I tried the chocolate and was HOOKED! I bought a tub of chocolate and cookies and cream before leaving that night.
Chocolate mint? Be still my heart!
i don't see the chocolate mint listed on the site - did you order it online or get it in the gnc store?
The Chocolate Mint is brand new. Here's the # to call the company call 1-800-808-8800 or 305-635-6220 you can order it over the phone. Just remember to tell them to give you the discount.
:)
~Michelle
Shelly - when you make the protein ice cream - is the amount in the dish at the end of your pictures the total amount you get and do you eat it all at one time?
I have struggled with the ice cream and I just want to check to see if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks.
Yep. That is the amount I get. It does me about 4 servings sometimes more depends on what I add. Fruit gives you more, SF pudding, nuts, etc. less.
Here's some tips:

~Michelle
Max Protein was the first protein I tried thanks to your suggestion after my surgery. I have since tried a couple different items and Max Protein by far is the best. If you have the GNC gold card, you can get 20 % off the first week of every month. Your blog rocks by the way and your recipes have been so helpful. THANK YOU for making a difference in our Weight Loss journey.
Greek Fro-Yo Yummy
3 cups Greek-style yogurt
2/3 cup splenda granular
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Mix together the yogurt, splenda, and vanilla (if using). Stir until the splenda is completely dissolved. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Freeze in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If that is the amount you get and you have 4 servings, I assume you freeze the other 3 servings and eat later. How do you defrost the ice cream to eat later? Mine is ROCK hard and it never seems to work.
I nuke it.
Tip #6: Get it out of the machine promptly (with a plastic spoon) and transferred into a Tupperware container. Freeze 1 - 2 hours for scoopable. After that it will harden. Nuke 25 seconds to return to scoopable.
Hope this helps, ~Michelle
Thank you sooooo much for the coupon! I just took the plunge and ordered every flavor in the 5.2 lb tubs!! I LOVE your blog!! :D

Shelly,
You rock, as usual. I ordered two tubs with your discount.
Thanks for your contribution to my success.
Jeannine
I use the Syntrax Nectar protein powders in Iced Tea, Lemonade, Fuzzy Navel, Tropical & Chocolate flavors and they are so good you could practically eat them with a spoon! I'm 14 months post-op and up until a couple of weeks ago I was mixing one scoop of one of the flavors with a gallons of no-cal iced tea and I really got to prefer it over the straight no-protein version. I decided to stop using the protein powder because it was costing me 90 calories per gallon but I think I'm going to start again because I probably could use the extra protein. I'm down 101 pounds with about 40 more to go.
First - just have to say I love your blog. A friend of mine who also recently had surgery told me about it. I had R&Y on 12/18/09 and I'm down 122 pounds so far (including 45 I lost prior to surgery). I have only found one other protein I like, so I went out and ordered this one (in cookies & cream!!). I'm also thinking I may need an ice cream maker because summer is coming and a girl's just gotta have it!! Thanks for the great site and ideas!
Thanks so much for the link and discount - was never able to locate this brand so I am anxious to try it. Really enjoy your blog and recipes - you're my inspiration!
wow, ice cream protein?! looks yummy! another product ive tried and have been using is PROTO WHEY. the protein is mico formulated for maximum absorption and thus has been very easy on my stomach. i love this product and would like to recommend it to anyone looking for a superior protein powder. o, and it also tastes great!
Shelly,
Could you please look at the ingredients and tell me if they contain sucralose (Splenda)? I searched the site and couldn't find an ingredient list and I emailed the company but haven't heard back.
thanks!
Sure no problem. Sucralose/Splend is not in the ingredients (looking at the large chocolate tub right now). It's my understanding the sweetener is Acesulfame Potassium (listed)
Just a side note: in the Ice Cream recipe Torani (contains Splenda)
Hope this helps,
~Michelle
Hi Shelly,
Just trying to see if your taste is close to mine. I really like Designer Whey and Optimum Nutrition. Did you try either of those and if so, what monkey butt? or OK? :0)
love your blog!
Penny
Hi Shelly-
Would you mind listing all the ingredients?
Thanks, Michi
Hi Michi,
It's quite a lot to type out. How's this... here's the company's phone #1-800-808-8800 or 305-635-6220 if you can't get it online or have them fax/email it to you let me know and I'll happily type it out ;)
~Michelle
Hi Shelly, I would love to score some Max Protein. Do you know if it is still part of the discount if you go to the store? I also have my son's GNC gold card which should work for the beginning of the month. Thanks again for the chance at the giveaway.
Jaimbry.
Hi Jaimbry,
Sorry the 20% offer with my eggface code is online direct from the company (link in blog) only.
Better price than in the stores though :)
~Michelle
Hi Shelley,
Thanks for sharing the discount and also for the great recipes. If you do ever want to relive your childhood smells, my husband is a zookeeper at the San Diego Zoo and I'll hook you up with tickets!
Yours,
Dana
Shelly - I cannot thank you enough. I have finally found my protein powder! No more monkey's butt for me. I ordered chocolate, vanilla, and cookies and cream. I cannot get over the fact that it actually tastes good and no funky smell, either! Again, thanks bunches! :)
Rosie
Shelly,
Do you konw if Max Protein works well in HOT drinks, like if I were to add it to my Latte's? I know many protein shakes clump when put in hot stuff. I'd like to know before I go buy.
Thanks.
So glad you guys are enjoying it. It saved me...
***
It does mix well into hot liquids without clumping...
Mix it first in cold (milk or water) then add that to the warm/hot and heat mixture back to desired temp.
Do this with any protein you use to avoid globs/balls of protein (gobs not pleasant) BUT here's the thing about Max Protein though... it tastes sooo good that even globs of it are yummy but if mixed like above you will get no globs :)
Hope this helps,
~Michelle
I just bought a 2-lb. jar of the chocolate Friday night at GNC, and I'm sad to say I wasn't impressed with it. I thought it was just okay. I have yet to find a protein that matches my surgeon's Swiss Chocolate protein shakes. Unfortunately, they are pretty expensive and have only 15 gr of protein (110 calories.) But they are thick like a real shake and have a very rich chocolate flavor. I found Max to be thin & watery with a rather weak chocolate flavor. But I've got 2 lbs. of the stuff, so I will doctor it up with ice & sf chocolate syrup & whatnot. And I will definitely use it to make your yummy recipes!
You aren't mixing it with water are you... no no no ;) 8 oz. of milk, ice or frozen banana, 1 T of Torani. Heaven in a glass.
I stumbled onto Max Protein pre-op when I was in the GNC store by my parents' house trying to use a coupon I had and find a protein powder. The guy suggested Max Protein. So I went home and tried it and loved it. It being the first protein powder I had tried couldn't understand people's complaints about protein powder as this was soooo good.
Well fast forward a few weeks when my protein powder was all gone. I stole some of my the kind my mom uses to tide me over and after one shake was headed straight to the GNC to my house to get my Max. I rushed to the back of the store looking for the blue container and couldn't find it anywhere. Turns out the store by my house is not a franchise and doesn't carry Max! :( So...I asked the guy there what he would recommend instead and he turned out to be sooo uneducated as far as Gastric Bypass (unlike the guy at the other GNC) and steered me towards some GNC brand. I decided to just go ahead and try it.
BLECH! For a week now I have been suffering through a vanilla look alike protein that tastes more like coconut (a flavor I HATE)! So tonight I will make the extra trek to the franchise GNC so I can get my Max back and get back to looking forward to my shakes, rather then dreading them! No more switching for me!
Anyone willing to part with a sample serving if shipping and maybe even a small fee is paid for? I def. can't afford the investment, and I am super weary of protein powders and shakes as I have a basket full of them that I can not stomach, and most were recommended to me. But I really need to get more protein in. Let me know!
can any body tell me the website of max protein or tell me from where i have buy this product internationally i want to buy from USA
I am trying to find the link for Max Protein? I am 3 months out and CANNOT stand the taste of protein drinks but after seeing so many posts from other people I would like to try this. I haven't had any issues with my hair falling out and would like to prevent this from happening any help would be GREATLY appreciated! My email is taylaroses@msn.com
What do you mix the max proein with? Is this a Whey protein? I am SOOO Leary of protein drinks as they make me sick and gag and I have spent SOOO much money on this stuff just to give it away. I agree with the previous post anyone have any samples? I am soooo afraid to try again.
The website to purchase Max Protein online is:
https://www.seipharmaceuticals.com/products/Max-Protein.html
It's GREAT stuff. Definitely worth one more try... believe me I had my share of nasty protein. I do not believe they offer samples yet. If you are in a local support group maybe you could find a pal to split a tub with. All I can say is it is not like the others.
It is a Whey Protein Isolate (the best absorbed by RNYers) and if you search "Protein" in the search box below my before & after picture you will find hundered of recipes using it.
~Michelle "Shelly"
Thanks so much for the help on the protein thing. I will be looking into it today.
This may be a silly question, but what does the Cookies and Cream one taste like?!?
I've had the chocolate and absolutly love it! Would anyone who's tried the C&C flavor be willing to share what it taste like? If you say "an OREO" I'm going to order a lifetime supply:)
Thanks!!
Danielle, Hopefully others will chime in but you will be happy to hear it does have an Oreo taste. I love the new flavors and I'm usually a purest gimme Choco or Vanilla and I'll make it flavored myself but these two new ones are super yummy. It made the most unbelievably good Ice Cream too.
~Michelle
I recently paid a visit to a local GNC store. I never used any protein powder or drink before. But am 150 lbs and need to put on some more weight and muscle. I workout pretty much everyday. Now my question is do you all think Max Protein could help me gain weight and muscle? If so is it a pre or post workout drink? If not, then which protein powder should I use?
Thanks
Hi Anon,
I'm not a nutritionist (disclaimer: degree in Political Science) but the way I understand protein suppliments is... it's all about how you use them.
weight loss surgery post-ops utilize protein to bring our protein grams up quickly without consuming oodles of food in our limited capacity.
For weight gain/muscle gain they are added to a varied diet usually in a combination with complex carbs, etc. and along with specific workout regimes achieve desired results. I'd hit up a nutritionist (or personal trainer) to see how they can work into your needs.
Max is used for both these purposes.
~Michelle
I just tried to check out from the link with the "eggface" discount code and it said that the code has been disabled :( Are there any restrictions? I had 4 of the 2lb Max Protein powders.
Hey Steph, I'm told the discode code will return sometime this month :(
~M
I too tried to get the discout but it wouldn;t accept so I called them ans they gave it to me over the phone! Thanks for the discount!
I'm very interested in trying Max Protein, but as you know, the ingredients aren't listed on SEI's site. I couldn't find them anywhere else either. You said that it's an isolate, but how do you know that? Is the word "isolate" actually in the ingredients list? If so, is it by itself, or is the product actually a blend of isolate and concentrate? The problem with blends is that you don't know how much is actually isolate. I don't want to buy something that isn't going to be effective.
Anon, Yes, isolate is listed. Not sure on the blend issue... probably questions better directed to the company directly. Their website is http://www.seipharmaceuticals.com/
I can tell you that I definitely give it major credit with my continued post-op success!
~M
After reading the comments on your web site, I tried to find Max Protein at my local GNC, but none of the GNC's in the Twin City area carried it. So, I ordered the vanilla flavor on-line and it's as good as you say it is. I've made smoothies and ice cream, all with delicious results. I called SEI to find if they carry the product locally and found a distributor relatively close by and the cost is less than half of what I paid on-line, so I will be going there soon to buy the Chocolate flavor and the Cookies and Cream. Thanks for the information and recipes!
This stuff tastes really good. Its just like a chocolate malt from a restaurant. Excellent!
I just got in my Max Protein and I'll never be able to try another protein - ever! It's the best!! And if you buy now with the Eggface discount and the sale you can get three containers for 119. + a little change. AWESOME!
Do you have a recommendation for unflavored Protein? to put into soups and things to get more protein?
I don't have an unflavored recommendation I'm sorry :(
Shelly! What GNC do you go to? Do they still carry it? I'm getting so down because I cant find a protein I enjoy and Ive tried so many. This is pretty expensive so I'm wondering if it would be easier to find it in a store.
I love your site. I cant wait to find a protein I like so I can try some of your awesome recipes. <3
Hi Lauren, Yes they carry Max
Temecula, CA (Promenade Mall location)
You might want to look for Ultimate by SEI (be sure it's by SEI) available at some indy shops, Max Muscles, Nutrisports (same taste, different name)
Here's what the tub looks like:
http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2010/01/ultimate-milk-cookies.html
I am only a few weeks out from surgery, and I am absolutely dying with the crappy-tasting protein powders out there. They are horrible! After trying 5 different brands I quit drinking them altogether. I'm not getting anywhere close to the amount of protein I should have. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for Max Protein- I'm headed out tomorrow to get some.
Michelle-
I am 3 months post-op and am one of the lucky few that get to be lactose intollerant after surgery. I switched to the GNC Soy Protein powder w/soy milk and feel loads better than when i was doing the normal "monkey" and "monkey ready to drink" protein. However, the soy powder is still leaving a little to be desired. How does this Max protein get it's protein? is it whey? or soy? If it's the former, do you have a favorite Soy brand?
Thanks for your help!
Cassie, I am slightly lactose intolerant too. I can't do liquid cow's milk (pain, cramps, etc.) :(
SEI Max (aka SEI Ultimate) is a whey protein isolate (recommended protien for RNYers) it doesn't seem to give me any issues. I mix it with soy milk or soy/water combo.
I don't have a soy protein I enjoy enough to recommend :(
Buying more and using the discount code again. yay.
Thanks for the connection.
Shelly, is the Ultimate the same as the Max? I cannot find the Max anywhere but the SEI website and shipping to Hawaii is over $100. Your discount makes a difference (thanks) but I am hoping to find it elsewhere from a local supplier. GNC on my island doesn't carry it and won't order it, neither does/will Vitamin World. Hoping if Ultimate is the same thing I can find it. Thanks, Jenny
Yep SEI Max & Ultimate are the same (different packaging, Max is a GNC exclusive name)
Here's the 411 on it and other packaging to look for:
http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2010/01/ultimate-milk-cookies.html
Thanks for the coupon code! Yesterday I ordered a 5 lb of Chocolate. I am doing my 6 weeks of pureed, and need something good. Your blog is a FANTASTIC resource. I'm so glad I stumbled across it.
Thank you for the recommendations on non-monkey ass protein mixes! :) SEI is are running a promo where you buy two and get one 25% off. It stacks with your coupon code! It comes out to $40 off three 2 lb tubs. I'm in for 3 :)
I havent had bypass surgery but I am over weight. I'm 5'6 and 204lbs and wanted to know if max protein could be used as a meal replacement? My main goal is to lose weight and gain lean muscle.
Hi Tawonda, It would definitely be a reduction in calories from most meals. So if you replaced a meal with a shake you'd be cutting back... it is extremely low carb and high protein so should be perfect for your needs. Hit the companies website and print out the stats on the flavor you are looking at & take it to your Dr. he/she should be able to give you more info based on your weight loss goals.
Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!
Do you know if they have a UK supplier? Or is there a good alternative in the UK?
jinjanut, I don't but SEI has a facebook page maybe hit them up on that and ask. Tell them eggface sent you over. Hopefully. It's good stuff.
If not... It is a whey protein isolate protein, low carb, high protein but it just really tastes great.
Thank you x
Or I'll have to wait until June to get some because I am moving to LA :)
GNC Vinton, VA...SEI Max Protein is delicious. We now carry this protein. We also offer discounts! I'm so glad everyone is enjoying this product. Keep up the good work.
My future mother-in-law has a bad habit of giving me stuff out of her pantry with expired dates, LOL! though, i go straight home and toss the junk, i still end up using half of what she gives me. On one occasion she had a tub, half-full, of what used to be called Maximum Energie protein in chocolate. Her son (an avid strength trainer and healthnut) had recommended it to her for weight loss. She claimed it came from GNC, it was a white container. I've never tried to loose weight with supplements but I thought I'd try it at least for the energy. Oh my goodness, I was hooked, with a banana in it or a few strawberries it was the best replacement of my usual coffee for breakfast regimen. No GNC I knew of seemed to carry it until this weekend. I learned from a nutrition trainer at my local GNC in houston who said this blue Max Protein is the same thing, obviously, he was more knowledgeable than other store employees because this isn't the first time I've asked! But it's true not all stores carry it. Though it was on sale, buy one get one 50% off, I didn't buy it. Only because I still have some of their Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein left. But I am soooo looking forward to it. This stuff is good!! I am just trying to maintain my weight and build muscle strength as I have been following Jillian's DVD workouts. Only downside, is that I worry a lot about artificial sweeteners, i avoid them as much as possible. In this case we are dealing with Acesulfame Potassium (K), just be careful not to consume too many artificial sweeteners in your other foods. Best wishes to all for your continued success!!
Thank you so much. I will be heading to GNC to check things out. Weight has stalled for two weeks now. I know its the protein. Thanks again
I apologize for replying to an older entry, but could you possibly post the ingredients for Max Protein? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I tried emailing the company via their website, but it bounced back. I need to know specifically if it has gluten ingredeints, because I'm gluten intolerant. Thanks so much!
Fangirl, No problem: Here's the contact info for SEI nutrition...
Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/SEI.Nutrition?sk=info you might want to post your Q or if you aren't on facebook... call 1-800-808-8800 I'm sure they can answer any questions for you.
I am looking everywhere for the Max Protein that you use and can't find it anywhere online or at GNC. Can you give me the manufacturer or maybe a number I could use to find it? Desperately wanting to try it!
Amy
Amy: SEI Nutrition is on Facebook you could post them a message asking who carries in your area (GNC online/corporate does not, its a franchise store product) or call 1-800-808-8800 (the office) or order online: http://www.seipharmaceuticals.com/ It's good stuff :)
Discount is still good! Just ordered the chocolate, so thanks for the recommendation and the discount!
Hey Shelley, I can't find the discount, but I would love to order some of this. The cost is a little more than I would normally spend, but I've been having a problem finding any cookies n cream flavored protein that isn't meant to bulk up the user.
The current coupon code is Eggface2010
As of 3/15/12 the coupon still works! Got a 5 lb tub for $59.99 no tax, no shipping....sweet deal!! Can't wait to try it!
omg, shelly, let me say that I could just hug you right now!!! I had RNY in May & have only lost 70 lbs. i had not been doing the protein shakes for about 3 mos & have been at a stall practically since then with like a less than 10lb loss in those 3 mos. I had been doing the Muscle Milk Light Protein Powder because it was the most tolerable to me (not awesome, but tolerable). My problem has always been that I have never been a thirsty person so finishing a shake is very difficult & I was living with a constant feeling of being overly full. I ordered the ProMax (wow, thanks for the discount) & am praying it is as great as I've been reading because I know I am not getting enough protein in daily no matter what I do (I work in a hospital that specializes in bariatric surgery) so bad on me. I am hoping this will kickstart my weight loss again because I need some kind of boost plus I'm at the gym 3-5x a week doing weight training, elliptical & treadmill. I still have about 50lbs to go. Thanks again!! I will keep you posted.
ok so i am super excited; i think my max protein has arrived! i got home from work today to find a note on my door that i had a pkg at the leasing office, but they're closed. i just ordered it tues so that was quick! i also have to say that Click is offering a buy one get one free sample of their protein, & got mine today; i ordered the mocha & they send the vanilla latte free along with a 30% off one canister promo code. thanks for all the great product info, shelly :-)
Shelly, i am so in ♥ with you for the recommendation; it IS as good as you said. OMG, i am sooo happy now! I immediately made your Chocolate Mint Protein Shake but tried Vanilla Almond milkt (so yum) and this morning I made your Banana Protein Mochaccino (that CLICK is da bomb!) Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
I am having a hard time finding Max Protein, I went to the SEI website and they offer something called Max protein but it looks completely different from yours and they only offer the Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry...do you think it could be the same? Thx!
It is the same... new bottle color is white. They have discontinued Chocolate Mint and Cookies & Cream. SEI Nutrition has a Facebook page I'd post on it (give them your zip code) and ask they where locally you can find it.
Hi - I have just had a gastric sleeve and was cautious about spending lots of money on protein that I wouldn't be able to stomach. I found Max protein here in England on a web site after a bit of searching. Enjoying my first shake now. Thanks for the tip.
Hi Everyone! I can't find this at any GNC in my area!! Has it changed its name or something? I would greatly appreciate ANY help. I am at a two month stall and I have about 50 more to lose.
http://www.seinutrition.com/products/MAX-PROTEIN.html available online. They have a facebook page too SEINutrition
Shelly, I agree that this is the best tasting protein I have ever had so far! The problem is I absolutely love the Cookies & Cream Flavor, I have tried chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, but in my opinion they just dont compare to the cookies & cream...back to the problem, I cant seem to find the cookies & cream flavor anymore! I have even looked on ebay..any suggestions?
Unfortunately the Cookies & Cream and Chocolate Mint flavors of Max Protein were discontinued.
The bottle is white as of 2/21/2013 available in Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla.
They have a Facebook page: SEI Nutrition. When you order ask for Classic Max (no soy)
