Happy Easter!

Easter for me represents new beginnings. For years I was my own worst enemy. Instead of dealing with the issues in my life (the crap) I made myself feel better temporarily with food, then I'd beat myself up for it. Lather, rinse, repeat. Sound familiar to you? Here is a chance for a new beginning.

Choose to be your greatest supporter, your own best friend. Treat yourself with the same kindness, care and love that you would any of the dearest people in your life. No guilt, no beating yourself up, one poor choice does not have to become a bad day, month, year, years. Work on the issues that lead you to hide in food. I look at "my crap" as a mountain. Everyday I chip away at it, I may never move the whole mountain but I'm heading in the right direction.

Be conscious of everything you do to your body (including your thoughts.) It is the only one you have and it is only on loan

I made a batch of my Coconut Nests (an Eggface household tradition) with Sugar Free Peep Chicks watching over their nests.

Hope all my peeps have a beautiful day. Happy Easter!

Thank you so much for continuing to vote for me in the contest. The voting period (aka my suspense) goes on till April 12. 8 more days. Ugggh. You can vote once daily, everyday till then. I'm the girl in the one pant leg. The top 3 vote-getters will win. I'm trying not to count my chickens (a little Easter humor) before they hatch but you guys are unbelievable and last I looked I was in the lead.

love reading your blog. Have you ever thought about writing a book? I would buy it in a heartbeat. All those recipes and words of wisdom for us WLS patients would be great!
