This is my less messy and a lot healthier twist on the campfire favorite. Toasted marshmallow flavored protein ice cream with bits of chocolaty graham throughout. Yum! and you don't even have to search for a stick.
Shelly's S'mores Protein Ice Cream
1 cup Vanilla Soy Milk (or Regular Milk)
2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Toasted Marshmallow Davinci Syrup
3 Sugar Free Fudge Dipped Graham Cookies, smashed (I used these)
Mix together milk, protein, and syrup. I used this gadget to mix it up. It makes it airy and lump free. If you don't have one just toss it in a blender on super high. You want it fluffy almost double in size. Pour into ice cream maker. Follow your machine's instructions for freezing. 5 minutes before done add smashed cookie bits. I place the cookies in a snack size Ziploc, seal it, and give it a whack with this.
I'm gonna make a batch of S'mores Protein Ice Cream this weekend and eat it outside on my patio. Camping is kind of unlucky for me. If you are regular reader you know that when I was 13 years old I was lost for 14 hours, alone in the Catskill Mountains with no coat, water, or food so I'm thinking maybe it's best I stick to the back yard.

saw the tweet and had to rush and check this out - sounds delish!! :D
How wonderful to know someone is having ice cream weather somewhere. We have big, fat, heavy snowflakes falling right now. Thinking of you this a.m. while making a batch of mini donuts from changes to your recipe. Turned out technicolorly wonderful! (pic and recipe on my blog) Thank you for all the inspiration you put out here for all us lucky readers. Hugs!
Michelle,
Since you're the queen of kitchen gadgets, I thought I'd ask you. That frother - is it all like an immersion blender? I want something that will help me make lattes at home, but I need something more multi-purpose than "just" a frother. I was wondering if this is it, or if I should just get an immersion blender.
Hope you guys enjoy it! :)

Hey Em,
Immersion Blenders (I love mine) are great for big pots of soup and I did use one to make huge batches of ice cream at the conferences I have presented at but... they are a little big for lattes. I love the little frother for small things but I know you are limited in NYC for space so I'd do the immersion blender. I have a cuisinart and a braun and I love them both. Braun I've had for over 20 years. Didn't come with all the groovy attachments back then so I have the newer cuisinart for that.

Thanks for the advice, Michelle. I usually warm the milk in one of those 2 cup glass measuring cups in the microwave so I could attempt to froth in that with the blender and then transfer to the coffee cup.
Hey Shelly -
Been lurking since just before my surgery 5 months back, but wanted to take a minute to thank you for everything! Your blog has been a consistent source of inspiration and wise choices, not to mention great recipes and ideas for making healthy meals. You rock! Thank you again for helping me keep my own journey interesting, fun, and filled with delicious meals! Nidia
I can smell the wood smoke and hear the mosquitos buzzing now!
