PB&J my way

Craving a peanut butter & jelly sandwich. Try this...

Shelly's PB&J Protein Shake

1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Torani Raspberry Syrup
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Strawberry Jam
1 Tablespoon PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter (or regular Peanut Butter)
3-4 Ice Cubes

Whiz in blender till smooth. Top with Sugar Free Land o Lakes Whipped Cream, optional.

Get your fix. More Eggface Peanut Butter recipes:

My breakfast this morning. Yum! A good start to hopefully another beautiful day. Sun was out all day yesterday and I took full advantage. I was barely inside. It was a great day. Well... after the shock of nearly becoming road kill wore off.

You guys know my Saturday routine... I hit the Farmer's Market. Well I was crossing the street (in the crosswalk) right in front of the market when a woman blew through the stop sign going well above the 25 mph speed limit and missed me by inches. I literally felt the breeze from the car on my legs. Ohhhh and of course she just kept on driving. My New York upbringing comes out by instinct when in danger and let's just say I hope she read my lips and hand gestures from her rear view window. I'm actually glad she didn't stop because I would have gone all Jersey Shore on her ass ;)

After the drama... I did manage to make it to the market and get some great fruits and veggies. Love my Farmer's Market. I just put two huge trays of yellow, red, green peppers and red onion in to roast now. The house will smell like heaven in about 20 minutes or so. Love to have those on hand during the week. I also picked up a beautiful variety of apples. Thinking Apple Crumb for dessert. I am going to hit the park for a picnic later. Maybe bring dinner and watch the sunset. Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend.

Hey Shelly- I am going to start a new Mon-Fri day job soon and I am using you as my inspriation to get organized to bring lunches to work. And also get dinners ready for my family each night. I love how you can plan so much ahead of time. It's my weak spot. Any advice you can give I will suck it up! Wish me luck. At least I have a salad bar at work now I can go to when all else fails. I know what to choose and what to avoid. Planning is such a challenge for me though....but I do love your ideas so keep em coming!

Glad you are having gorgeous weather! Cold....rain....ick here. My "farmer's market" has become Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Not bad, but I so envy yours!

Have a GREAT week!

Shelly~I've always wanted to try that Max Protein but it's so expensive. Is there anywhere they have samples that you know of?
Thanks for being such a great inspiration.

TY Bec. So happy for you. Hope we can get together soon. Hugs to K & T

Hey Maggie, Best wishes on your new job!!

Start small make a list of a few breakfasts, lunches, dinners and rotate them then as you get in the swing of things add some.

Use one of your days off to prep... chop veggies into tupperware, grill some chicken to have, make a few things soups, casseroles. So you have an edge.

Under my before & after picture in the search box type in bento to see some lunch ideas.

Stay hydrated... easy to forget to drink when at work :(

TY PRC Hope you try it!

Di, I love the baby green beans at Trader Joe's. Ohhh and the lentils (in the refrigerator sections) just got some the other day I'll do something thins week with them.

Ramona, I wish they did too. I first tried Max in a GNC store... not all GNC's carry it's a franchise store owners choice but it yours does they will mix you up a taste test. If you were local I'd gladly have a taste test of all the flavors for you :( My other suggestion would be to get together with another wls-er & split a bottle. As soon as I hear anything about samples I will announce it on the blog you can be certain :)

I had this PB&J shake for b'fast this morning. Not only did it hold me well until lunch, but it's my new fave! I don't like the texture of real PB in my shakes - why didn't I think of PB2 sooner? Yum, yum!

Although I absolutley LOVE Max protein(choc mint being my fav) and refuse to ever drink anything else......I was still getting a bit bored with them. Thanks for posting great ideas to liven it up without adding a ton of calories. This PB&J drink in awesome!
