The Ricki Lake Show Premiere

Remember last month when I went to tape an episode of the new Ricki Lake Show I just received confirmation that my segment is going to be part of her premiere episode airing Monday, September 10th.

Here's how to find a TV station in your area airing the show: Where to watch

For those of you who asked it's not a cooking segment (deeper a topic) though I would love to go back one day and do a healthy cooking segment *cough cough hint Ricki* Thanks for checking it out.

The first time I saw the commercial for the premier there you are, and I started screaming there is Eggface!! My friend said "isn't that the blog you read all the time?" I said YES!!! I LOVE HER...oh yeah I do love Ricki as well, but you stole the snipet. Right away I set my DVR to record. I can hardly wait!

Watching it now. Girl, your honestly regarding issues you STILL deal with touched me. I agree, think many can relate. But hope you will keep doing the work, and ALLOW yourself the joy of being you in the (newer) body...and learn to connect with that person! You deserve it!

Even though you've successfully lost and maintained, inspired so many with your creative menu ideas, and have shared your life with us you admit to not relating to that thinner person.

I so agree with the therapist who said we are ALL so much more than the number on the scales...heavier or lighter, it is only ONE component in the full picture of who we are.

Loved the segment where they asked people on the street what they thought of your picture. Take that in girlfriend...you do look amazing.

Thanks for sharing, being transparent, and admitting to the work still needing to be done. I am 3 1/2 years post op, and am right there with you...working towards accepting all I am.
Hugs,
Cindy

Thank you guys for watching and Cindy thank you for your lovely comment.

I'm a work in progress big time... which is a good thing because for many years I didn't/couldn't/wouldn't do the work.

It raw and hard and one day I hope I will feel those comments when I look in the mirror.

A lot of years of pain (some self inflicted, some from sadly the way the world is) to work through but I'm working :)

Saw your performance. I was afraid you would be disappointing (Like the time I saw Ann Landers and her voice sounded like a female wrestler sucking on a mouth full of pea gravel) but you were even BETTER than expected. Your blog is fantastic. You are the "total" package, brains and beauty and you have PLENTY of each.

Really was touched by your candor and strength. Thank you for sharing. In July I celebrated my 1 year RnY anniversary. Your blog has been instrumental in helping me continue on this WLS journey. Thank you for being there for me and for all of us!

I will sound like a total "fan-geek" but you were wonderful today. I realize you can only speak for yourself, but the issues you have dealt with and are dealing with are common issues for most of us. I love that it is you, who has helped so many of us stay on track, is the one out there giving a face to the weight & weightloss issue. I too would love to see a cooking segment. Again, thank you and great job!!

I wasn't able to watch today. Do you know where I might be able to find the full episode online or On Demand? I haven't been able to find it yet.

Loved the show! You did GREAT! So wonderful to hear your honesty about the difficulty in seeing YOU in your new body shape. But my favorite part was when your picture was taken out to the public for their thoughts on you and they were all wonderful! You are wonderful, and thanks so much for helping us all feel the hope you so much give us all.
Keep on plugging away!!! You are very much appreciated!

You did awesome on the show! I so enjoyed watching it!

You were terrific!! I kinda felt like you were their "Project du jour" which is crazy because from reading your blog I know you have a lot more figured out than they do, much more than Ms Ricki and the therapist. And the humor...wish you had more windows for it. "Can I get that last guy's number?" - Exactly what I was thinking! - LOL

Has anyone found where you can watch online or catch the rerun on TV?
