1591 days well -minus those first 7 weeks (for me) of hardcore adjustment have been absolute awesomesauce! Every time I think back to this or read these
I KNOW I made the right decision!
My wish for all those new on this journey... that you will soon feel the same way I do about having weight loss surgery... that it was the best gift I ever gave myself.
But... I know too that just cause I got the monkey off my back doesn't mean the circus has left town. The FIGHT is FOREVER!
xo to all the fellow fighters!

Awesome. Love the pic. Congratulations!
AMEN! Though I'm only 9 months out, I *KNOW* this has been the best decision of my life. I feel and look so much better, and can DO things instead of being stuck on the sidelines. I'm looking forward to being around to be the cool Auntie for many, many more years to come. Thanks for being such an inspiration! :)
what a great pic. congrats on making the decision and making it happen!

Congratulations! I'm wrapping up day 10, so I have a ways to go to reach you!

Congratulations!
Congrats!
I'm about 8 weeks post lap band surgery now and also feel it was an amazingly RIGHT decision for my life.
Learning how to eat (slowly), what I can't eat, and what triggers an attempt to binge (cheese) is a learning process... but a fun and rewarding one!
Shelly -- you are such a gift to all of us! Congratulations on your amazing journey and continued success. I'm 4 weeks out - and honestly don't know what I'd do without you. Your advice, insights and incredible recipes give me hope -- especially on days like today - when I'm seriously wondering if WLS was worthwhile !!
You're a Shining Star!!!

You are truly an inspiration and comfort to me as I prepare for RNY in January. I'm both terrified and excited to start on this journey. And i'm looking forward to trying lots of your recipes.
