These are one of my "I don't really feel like cooking but I still want something yummy" go-to meals.
15 minutes and you are eating. Take that Rachel Ray Wa-Pow!

Sea Cuisine Tortilla Crusted Tilapia Filets
Nutritional Information:
Serving size – 1 Filet (about 3.75 oz.)
Calories per serving – 180
Total Fat – 10g
Total Carbohydrate – 6g
Sugars - 1g

I get them at Costco. 9 filets come in a box for $11.49

Toss one per person (early outs might even half it) on a oiled cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes at 425 degrees.
You can eat them as is of course with a veggie on the side but my favorite thing to do is make a Fish Taco Salad. A very Southern California meal.
Shelly's Fish Taco Salad

Mixed Lettuce Greens
Cilantro Lime Yogurt Dressing (recipe below)
Colby Jack Cheese, grated
Place cooked fish filet on top of greens. Sprinkle with cheese and serve with a dollop of dressing.

2 Tablespoons Fresh Cilantro
1 1/2 Tablespoons Good Olive Oil
Squirt or two of Lime
Kosher Salt to taste
a few twists of Black Pepper
Whiz in a mini food processor till blended.

I love this stuff........been eating for awhile. Now that it has the "eggface seal of approval" I know it's good!! LOL
Going to try the cilantro dressing next time.
The other great thing I've discovered at Costco: marinated salmon filets. Similar to this Tilapia (and just a couple items down the row). Delish!
Keep up the great work - I enjoy checking your blog daily for new and exciting ideas!
OMG! This sounds so good! I really miss CA Rubio's, pre-wls of course. Nothing like that back here either... Love your recipes!!
Hope you guys enjoy it. It is a quickie fav here at the Eggface house.
Kara, I will look for those.
Kerrig, One pre-op college year a friend of mine and I tried to go to every Rubios in San Diego as a goofy mission... we did pretty darn well. I think we only missed a few in the south bay. LOL.

These Sea Cuisine Tortilla Crusted Tilapia Filets are AWESOME!! So glad to see it on here and know it is OK to eat. Not that I would have stopped, lol, they are too good. Even my 18 month old and 3 1/2 year old like them!
Shelly,
Just made the talapia tonight with your awsome cilantro yogurt sauce. My 23 year old ate two filets and almost all the sauce!!! LOL
Fish tacos....a good Ash Wednesday meal. Thanks!!
These Sea Cuisine tilapias are fabulous!! The only problem is that I have introduced all my friends and most of my family to this product ,and now Costco has stopped selling them. I need to know if Costco is not going to sell it anymore, then I need to know where I can obtain this fish in the Chicago area.
