Beyond beyond beyond my wildest dreams.

Take a look at this...

Yeah those would be the labels of my new jeans.

From Size 28 to Size 4!!!

Someone pinch me.

I remember thinking pre-op if I could just get to size 18 I'd be so happy and I thought that was reaching for the moon and stars.

Now for the Oscar speech...

Thank you God, Mum, Dr. A, Dr. Q, and the beautiful country and people of Mexico.

Hey Dori,

Woohoo!!! So very happy for you!!! When I bought my first size 10 a few weeks ago I almost passed out. I also remember thinking a size 18 would be wonderful.

Soooo proud of you!!!

That is awesome!!! I am also a shorty of 5'2" so i was just wondering what is your weight? Now i know that is a rude question but since we are the same height i just want to see where size 4 would be lol

Michelle that is soooo cool!! I can relate to just feeling a size 18 would be perfect. I don't think I'll ever be a four, but a 10 would be nice (i'm a 12/14 now). if it happened to you, it could happen for me - thanks for being such a great inspiration!! Congrats girl, you deserve it!

Hey you! Congrats! I've been thinking a 12 would be heaven. I told my mom I was trying to get my head around a size 8, but she shot me down and told me that was too little. I had an epiphany Tuesday though. I'm NOT having this surgery for her! I'm doing it for me, and my kids! (And a tiny bit for my husband, wink wink.) I have sisters that are taller than me (I'm 5'4") and they're a 4 (5'9") and an 8 (5'7"). They're not TOO skinny! I say, get down with your bad self! I'm gonna set my goal at an 8 or a 10! Dang it, I'm reaching for the stars no matter what my Mom thinks!

So happy to read of your success! Just received news of this blog from my local WLS support group. I'm just starting the scheduling process, so am looking for inspiration, and it's great to connect with another 5' 2". Size 4! I can barely wrap my head around setting a goal to go from size 26 to size 16. Still think that would be a realistic place to start.
Don't know if I'm "blogging" correctly as this is a first-ever attempt for me and I don't know the ettiquette. Please feel free to provide feedback as appropriate.
Take care,
Cathy/Hollister CA

You are amazing! You eat well, look great and make it into a size 4...in CK and Seven jeans nonetheless. Congratulations and now get a full nights rest already. : )

I hope to get to a 1 number size one day. Right now I am 3 yrs out and 150, size 14/16. It's soooo hard because I know quite a bit (not all obviously) of the problem is this stupid extra skin everywhere! Plus, I feel like at 3 years out I should be smaller and that's hard as well. But you're inspiring me and I am making all your wonderful food so if I can manage to get off my lazy bum and work out more I could drop some more weight.

I said the same thing if I can only get to size 18 and yes I am in size 18s and have been for a year and have not lost another damn pound as I can not get back on track..
You are such a inspirition to ALL of us. I am so discussed with myself as I just can not get back on track for more then a few days.

That is just too awesome. Most of my clothes are a single-digit size (an 8) and I just can't believe it either. You should feel so proud!

That's so awesome! Congrats! I can tell you that the 7's will stretch as you wear them so you might have even been able to get the size 2. Mine stretched out after only wearing them once. I washed and dried in hot water and they still were big. Next time I'll buy a size down.

Do you think you could have done it without WLS? I'm planning on being a 10 by next summer!!! :)Congrats!

Michelle "Shelly" said...

Thank you so much.

You know I don't think I could have done it without WLS. I had dieted all my life would lose 20 pounds or so and hit my first stall and give up or a holiday would come up or a party or I'd get sick... something would throw me off. I needed the jump start of WLS. The quick visual results and how awesome I felt gave me the incentive to stick with the changes. The 'retraining' in those first few months helped too. I had a "new stomach" I reintroduced only the good stuff too... now I would feel terrible eating crap again.

Wowsa sweetie, that is sooooo AWESOME, I'm so happy for you!!!
On Sat. I was with Carol and she said "you know, after your hernia repair and panni removal you'll be a size 4 or 6" I just laughed at her and said "no way, I can't even imagine" lol One digit numbers would be nice, but I won't care what size the first pair of snap and zip pants are, as long as they aren't elastic waste!!!!
Thanks for being the great inspiration you have been to me!!!
love you and bigg huggs, Becky
