Wake up & smell the flowers

It's a rainy & gray day in my 'hood but the gloomy skies are no match for the spring flowers popping up in the garden...

The first freesias. I have pink, purple and yellow ones but the pink ones are always the first to show up each year. They smell amazing.

Your flowers are *beautiful*! Despite our unseasonably warm weather, it'll still be several more weeks before the crocuses start popping up around here.

Those are gorgeous, Shelly! I will have to show my mom... she has a garden outside their sunroom (they are in rural west central IL). I don't know much about types of flowers, but sure do appreciate God's creation!

Take care and keep up the great work and keep them recipes coming!

Just rub it in why dont ya. CT has been getting hit with bad weather. This weekend it finally cleared up. You know its bad when we get excited about 40 degree weather. Actually walked the beach saturday...with my winter coat on!

Shell, you are so amazing! I really admire your dedication to the site, and all you put in it! You should put together a cookbook! Your recipes are wonderful, and the time you take to explain it, take pics of it, you are just wonderful!!!! I know everyone would buy one. Thanks for all the tips and tricks! I have my surgery (roux-en-y)date (3/31/10) and I can't wait!
