Delicioso

February 27th is National Kahlua Day! Since I am ever so thankful to the country where Kahlua is made (I had both my RNY and my post weight loss reconstructive plastic surgery in Mexico) I celebrate that beautiful country and it's people with this yumminess... Salud!

Shelly's Tiramisu Protein Shake

1 cup Vanilla Soy Milk (you can use ANY milk or milk/water combo. I'm a soy girl)
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free DaVinci Kahlua Syrup
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Jello Cheesecake Pudding Mix, dry
1 scoop Click Espresso Protein Powder
1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
3-4 Ice Cubes

Whiz in blender till smooth. Top with Sugar Free Land o Lakes Whipped Cream or rim glass with Unsweetened Cocoa, optional.

Doesn't Jell-O SF cheesecake instant pudding mix (& its cousin, white chocolate instant pudding mix) make EVERYTHING taste better? (That is, in the realm of protein shakes.) I never realized just how much I would rely on those two pudding flavors to make delicioso shakes. Of course, the Kahlua ain't chopped liver either! ;)

Thank you for all the wonderful information. From an old post op, and working at night (7p-7a) it is extremely hard to take off this weight. I have found several of us working these hours can not take the weight after so long. So when I ran across your site, I was thrilled to death. I could not wait to pass it around like tic-tacs. We try to figure out what is the problem. I wish I was like you. I can not eat beans, and broccoli, and cabbage, cabbage, carrots (the gas pains are dreadful),(but if I have to invest into beno, by golly that is what i have to do) I'm still not able eat steak, nor can I eat pork (except ham/bacon-go figure). After all this time I still can not digest peppers (green, red, yellow),and mushrooms (I used to love) makes me sick, unless they are finely choped up, but I can eat onions. I can't stand the taste of splenda, (I've try on several occasions, and NO-GO), and which some of those Sugar Free Flavoring have in them. I have purchase awhile ago, Davinci Chocolate, Peanut butter, and Carmel, and I'm willing to try it again, any thing to get back on track. Thanks EggFace, send me any suggestions you have.

Shelly - I am new to your blog - recommended by others at OH.com - I am almost 11 weeks postop RNY and made a version of your spinach artichoke pizza and felt like a normal human being for the first time since my surgery, so THANK YOU!

I was wondering if you would consider putting your recipes into a book and selling it - that would make my life a LOT easier! LOL! Seriously, I bet that you could make a ton of money - are there ANY RNY-friendly cookbooks? None that I know of - Have you thought about this? Thanks! Cindy

How do you get it to look like an ice cream shake? I keep trying to get that consistency (or a frapachino) and I can't. Any suggestion.

Amanda, Sounds like you need to add a bit more ice? & a good blender gives you frappuccino-ish quality, the pudding mix also helps thicken things up - my 2 recommendations Oster Beehive around $60 or if you are daily protein shake maker a Vitamix $$$ but it's power tools ;)
