Post Weight Loss Surgery Menus: A day in my pouch

A Valentine's Day (aka Singles Awareness Day) edition of a day in my pouch.

Breakfast: Celebrated with a delicious and festive breakfast (shared with my Mum)

Shelly's Raspberry Almond Greek Yogurt Fruit Dip

1/2 cup Greek Yogurt (I used 2%, plain)
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Raspberry Torani Syrup
Sliced Toasted Almonds

Mix together till well combined. Great for dipping fruit (strawberries, apple slices, banana chunks, etc.) or eating as is.

Lunch: I love making bento lunches they always make me feel like a kid at recess.

Pink Box (top left): Sliced Grilled Chicken (Breasts pounded flat, brushed with olive oil, sprinkled with Greek Seasoning and BBQ'd)
Orange Box (top right): Shelly's Greek High Protein Dip for dipping chicken
Blue Box (bottom left): Cheesestick
Green Box (bottom right): Leftover Strawberries from breakfast and Mango Chunks

More Eggface Bentos

Dinner: Ate this yummy Tortilla Pizza while watching the "Glee" and "The New Girl" Valentine episodes. Don't miss Glee's Amber Riley singing "I will always love you" which had been taped for this episode before Whitney Houston's death. Awesome.

Shelly's Middle Eastern Beef and Hummus Tortilla Pizza - Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Fajita Size Tortilla, a smear of store bought Roasted Garlic Hummus, Leftover Browned Ground Beef, crumbled Feta Cheese, a sprinkle of Za'atar. How to cook them.

Snacks: Much too much coffee including a Sugar Free Vanilla Soy Latte from Bux and a 1/2 a Peanut Butter and Jelly Quest Protein Bar while running errands.

More days in my pouch.

Hope everyone had a great day surrounded by the love of soul mates, family, pals and fur babies. Three out of four, not too shabby ;)

You have made me fall in LOVE with Quest bars! I think my favorite is the chocolate brownie. I just ordered to boxes of assorted ones and honestly, I haven't found one I DIDN'T love! In fact, I am eating one right now. I had my sleeve on Dec 21 and I have lost 34 lbs. I have a long way to go yet til goal (112 lbs to go) but I am SO glad I made this life changing choice. I also LOVE your pizza recipes and cakes and ice cream! I'm just feeling in a lovin' mood since Valentine's Day I guess. Thank you so much for this blog. I have gotten so much inspiration from you. I even bought a Bento box!! :)

I've also recently discovered Quest bars thanks to you!! So far I have the berry bliss and vanilla nut ones. I'm getting ready to order some new ones and I see here you mentioned the PB and J. I'd love to know if they're good or if anyone has others that are good. I'm pretty much only going to eat Quest bars from now on. They are the best I think for what we need so I'm sold. Just want to try new flavors!

Thanks guys. So glad you are enjoying the Quest bars. My personal fav is Apple Pie, Wild Berry (cold) and Peanut Butter and Jelly (nuked 10 seconds) those are from the regular line I believe... from All Natural Cinnamon Bun is probably my fav of that line, Strawberry Cheesecake is yummy too. I didn't think I would like the Lemon but liked that too.

You have the best recipes!! i have been craving Chicken Cheese enchilada's. You know the kind that have the green sauce and the oh so fattening and unhealthy cream of whatever soup and mexican cheese- green chili's and tortillas and of course chicken. Do you think you could come up with a "bite" or a pizza that would be close?

I just love this website that I have come across. I have been looking for support and here I have found it. Thank you so much for this.
I am not sure that I have become a fan on Facebook as I don't see where it says to add as a friend.
Thanks, Sally Morris
