It's almost Thanksgiving. Remember in elementary school when we cut out paper turkey feathers and wrote what we were thankful for on each one.

On my feather: I am thankful for the second chance at a healthy life weight loss surgery has given me and the support of friends & family both in real life & across cyberspace. That's a big feather I better write small ;)

Happy Thanksgiving Friends.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Shelly! I remember crafts like this as a kid. As a matter of fact I still do things like this when I'm with my nephew (he is 6)! I love this stuff! It's a great outlet and fun to be nostalgic with.

Oh my Father, I am so thankful for my family and for my country. I am thankful for my grandbabies and great grandbabies. I am thankful for my pug dogs. I am thankful for the second chance You gave me to have a healthy and active life. I am thankful for support from people like Shelly on theworldaccordingtoeggface and to my sister who NEVER gave up on me.
Thank you Shelly for giving me an opportunity to voice my gratitude and thankfulness to the weightloss world.

Shelly, I spend a good bit of time talking with my second graders about thankfulness....I have shared with them how important it is to share your time and talents with others...especially when it doesn't come with a direct personal payoff!
I love your's very uplifting and inspiring to me...I'm post op GBS 7/23/12....doing well and feeling strong! Be well! Laura
