9 Years

9 years ago I made the choice to change my life. Having weight loss surgery was the best gift I ever gave myself. A few photos...

Thank you for being a part of my story.

Happy Anniverary! Thank you for your wonderful site. I use it often to get ideas. The thing I never expected about WLS was that I would have to start cooking and couldn't do so from boxes.

Who knew?

Congratulations!! On both your success (s) AND the thousands you have helped since. I happen to be an RD who struggles with weight. You my dear have achieved so very much, nor only for yourself, but for so many. God Bless you!!

Happy Anniversary, Shelly!! You are such an inspiration! One of the things that I worried about when considering the surgery, was that I love to cook. Finding your site made me realize that I could still enjoy cooking with WLS. I had my surgery on 03/02/15 and have lost a total of 110 lbs so far (45 before surgery and 65 since). And, your site has been key to my success. I still love to cook and love to eat... lol, just not so much eating anymore! Today, I am making peanut butter chocolate protein ice cream to celebrate your anniversary!!! First time with protein ice cream, wish me luck!!!

Oh, and by the way, besides being a wonderful cook, you are a cutie!! And, you look so happy!!!
