Halloween Fun!

I dressed up for the Halloween party Friday night at the Obesity Action Coalition convention so last night I just wore an orange shirt and waited for kiddos to knock. Grand total of treat or treaters this year: zip. I bought 1 bag of Kit Kats (my Mum's favorite) so I guess she'll work on those and for my sweet treat I made myself some apple nachos.

Shelly's Apple Nachos

1 sliced Apple (Mmmm Honeycrisp)
1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter, melted
1 Tablespoon chopped Nuts (I used Toasted Almonds and Peanuts)

1 Tablespoon Greek Yogurt
1 teaspoon Sugar Free Torani Syrup (I used SF Caramel)
dash of Apple Pie Spice

Mix yogurt, syrup and apple pie spice together. Set aside. Slice apple. Nuke peanut butter in microwave for 30 seconds or until melted. Drizzle over apple slices. Top with chopped nuts and yogurt.

I was a scarecrow this year. Overalls from the thrift store (brand new $3 Calvin Klein), western shirt from my closet and my Mum hand knitted all the leaves attached to me.

My pal Sarah (aka Honey Boo Boo) won the costume contest

Is there any wonder why I am single?! My pal Beth says, "Sexy finger pose" and I look like I'm picking Texas BBQ out of my teeth. Not sexy and I know it ;)

Speaking of Texas BBQ. Lockhart Smokehouse OMG! So good. Burnt ends, brisket, ribs. Meat-a-palooza. I wished I could have eaten more. The few bites of each I had though were delicious.

Kisses to all my pals. See you next year.
