Just what I needed, to see an old OH friend who still looks as beautiful as ever! Put on some extra pounds, just want I needed to get my butt in gear!!
Shelly you are so inspiring!! I will take you up on your challenge. I will be 12 years post op RNY in July and I am going to donate to my local food bank (who we currently support) the number of food items equal to the pounds I lost. My friend at the bank will love this idea. Not only will I do that but I will also donate $325 the number of my weight on the day of my surgery. I know it's a ways out but I can do the latter now and provide the food on my anniversary day. I'll keep you posted.
You amaze me every post. You have inspired me to do so much more than I have ever thought I would do. I am not quite 7 months and my entire life has changed because of my surgery and I'm glad I found you because your tips, tricks and recipes have been there for me the entire journey! Thank you! Brook
Hi!! I love your blog! I'm pre-surgery and dilligently planning and researching. I'm actually going as far as planning plastic surgery. Is there somewhere here where you list your surgeon? As of right now, we are on a very tight budget and I'm wondering if you could give me some pointers?? Thanks.
I totally "get" your Mom's pride!!! What an awesome daughter she has!! I am so proud of you too, and am working on my way to honor your inspiration. I've said it before, will say it again - Thank you so much for YOU!!!!! Hugs Tara from MI

What a great idea!!! There are several of us FFC's living in our small town. It would be very cool to organise your program for our local food banks.
Beth featured you in her melting mama blog this weekend. Hope this great idea spreads.

Thank you guys. Be sure to share your projects with me and I will give them a shout-out.
Thanks Kimberly, My plastic surgeon was Dr. Quiroz. There is a link to his clinic above in the Links and Resources page (tab)

Awe Shelly, your mom is proud of you and you should be too! Awesome inspiration for the rest of us!
You ROCK! Can you imagine how many items people could donate this way? I could add 126 myself. Awesome job and great news coverage.
