My Costco List
Tips: most web sites have a product locator that will let you search by zip code for a store closest to you carrying an item. If there isn't a store carrying something you want ask the manager to start carrying it, most will order something at least once. For odd items I usually place an online source link in the recipe. If all else fails email me and we'll brainstorm a replacement product.

This. Is. Awesome.
Thank you...I plan on bookmarking this page and putting a link to you on my blog.
I don't know if anyone's approached you, but you really need to do a cookbook. If you ever do, I will be on the Amazon.com reserve list!
Thank you for this info. I'm ready to make my shopping list.

Michelle,
You know I've been a daily reader a long time, and I've always wanted a "grocery list" of sorts, I REALLY really appreciate this list!!!! IT IS AWESOME! I make your recipes a lot and now will have on hand the right ingredients!!!
Thanks so much!!!
Very cool idea. I had to chuckle a bit that the first item on your vegetable list is onions. Onions are the one thing I hate and refuse to eat and I can always tell that you love them cause they go in most everything. I've just modified them right out when recreating your recipes so it works great. It just makes me laugh. My life would be so much easier if I liked them.
Thanks so much for sharing the list ! Trying to find all the good stuff here in the netherlands or at least something is simular. SF sirop is hard to find, as well as THE low carb tortilla's...i'll keep searching :-)
Thank you thank you thank you! I remember asking you if you had a pantry list/list of things to keep on hand awhile ago. I would read a great recipe and then have to make a trip to buy the stuff to make it. Read another recipe and trot off the store again for the items. This will save me so many trips to the store! I'm going to Trader Joe's today - so the timing was perfect! Thanks again, I know most of us will find this useful!! You da bomb!!
Really helpful list. I'm terrible about not planning at all, running into my tiny NYC grocery store on a whim, not finding any of the products I wanted, and running out with nothing but chicken breast. I need to keep this with me.
Thanks so much!! This is perfect! I am trying to give my 'fridge a makeover so I have more things on hand to create your recipes or to modify a recipe to be more WLS friendly! This is spectacular! :)
Juuuust what I needed ;)
Absolutely fantastic post!!! Ive bookmarked it! Lots of great ideas..thank you so much for this awesome blog!

I'm trying to eat mostly real whole foods, and I liked your list of fruits and veggies. Some of the other stuff, not so much, but everybody's different, with different needs. You've got a lot of great information here. Thanks for sharing.
Finallt! Being a new WLS gal I have been looking for a WLS essentials list for my pantry! You have done it! Thanks for all the help, you have no idea how many questions your blog has answered for me. I cant wait till I can begin eating solid foods so I can try some of your recipes!
Thanks so much for the list of suggestions. I hadn't thought of some of these. I would also like to see a list of your favorite kitchen gadgets, pans, tools, etc. that you can't seem to do without in a post op kitchen.
Thanks so much, this is an awesome list...
Thank you so much for posting this. I thought of you today as I ate my lunch at work out of my NEW "lunchbox" that you refered to on this site. It made lunch fun today. I also received my "toasted cheese" packets. Those are great! yummmm. Thanks so much!!
Hi! Just celebrated my 1 year since my surgery!!!! Things are going great! Thank you for your blog....it has made my transition so much easier. I was curious what type of device you use for your protein shakes that need to crush ice cubes. I have a blender and it is not working well with the ice so need to upgrade...nothing worse then having a shake with big chunks of ice!! Haha! Again thanks for all you do and being a voice for us!!
Thank you guys!

I used a Oster Beehive http://astore.amazon.com/theworlda074c-20/detail/B00005QFKG (20+ years) then finally it died. It was a GREAT machine around $60 I highly recommend it... now I have a $$$ professional monster Vitamix :)
Wondering if you use Stevia or Truvia?
Hi Kay, I prefer Splenda and SF Torani which is Splenda in flavored liquid form. I have used Truvia, Stevia (some brands have an unpleasant aftertaste to me), I have used Agave on occasion too (as a honey replacement), I have experimented with Xylitol and Erythritol and a few others too.
Hi, my name is Sandra Rodriguez and I will be getting my byactric surgery on 8/28/2012.I love your website which after the surgery will be my study to go by to successful with the surgery and having a second chance in life. I love it very much. Also I would be very happy if I have the oportunity to win a bracelet of lauren's Hope...I find this very important to all with health back rounds like myself. You are doing a beautiful thing for all. May God bless you all. Love Sandra
I am so excited about this whole blog. I am 3 weeks post op for lap band and going a bit crazy on the liquid/ pureed diet. This Will help so much. You are so wonderful.
I just had a gastric by-pass revision 11 years after my 1st. (a result of a botched endoscopy which spiraled into 19 days in the hospital). The changes that have been made in those years are allowing me much more freedom of choices not to mention not spending 30 days living on Ensure! My dietician guided me to your blog and I think after just 30 minutes here that I your site will become a good part of my success. I am looking forward to learning the process. Thanks.
Just wanted to say thank you for all that you continue to provide on this blog. I am 1 week post-op RNY and found myself crying my eyes out the other night wondering if I made the right choice...until I found this site. You have helped me realize that my love of cooking does not have to change and with hard work and determination my life will extended and improved. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the bottom of my pouch.
